Jay-Z has done it. The latest of the trillogy of the Blueprints has moved just under Gold with 476,000 copies. This gives Hov his 11th No.1 album. Jay-Z’s No. 1 achievement with Blueprint 3 puts him ahead of Elvis Presley as the solo act with the most No. 1 albums in the 50-year history of the Billboard 200. Jay will now have the second-most No. 1 albums among all acts. Only the Beatles, with 19 No. 1s, have more than him.
In related news, the other big release, Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 sold 68,000 units in the first week.
Also, Def Jam’s special The Blueprint Collector’s Set moved 14,000 copies.
