Kanye West's Fashion Line Probably Won't Hit Stores

This week, images from the lookbook for Kanye West's Pastelle fashion line leaked onto the Internet, showcasing a few of the jackets West had been working on for who knows how long (he wore one of them to the 2008 American Music Awards).

Kanye seems particuarly invested in design; he made the rounds at nearly every major Paris show in February, and seemed more interested in talking about his shoe collaboration with Louis Vuitton than his most recent album, 808s and Heartbreaks.

But now it's come out that Kanye's darlings will probably never make it into stores. High Snobiety (via The Cut) reports that someone in West's camp has told them Pastelle will not be released. This is not to say we shouldn't expect design efforts from West in the future (he should just go ahead and trademark the phrase "I'm real happy for you, and I'ma let you finish.
